Student Council (Fachschaftsrat)

Moin, we are the FSR-Ethnologie!

We are the elected student representation of the UHH’s Institut für Ethnologie. We meet weekly to discuss relevant topics concerning our institute and the whole university life.

We also take care of the communication with the lecturers. So if you have questions or problems with which you do not want to approach the lecturers yourself, then we are the right contact persons and will gladly take care of your concerns.

We represent the interests of our fellow students in various university committees (e.g. the institute’s committee or the department council). If you have any wishes or suggestions regarding your studies at the Institute (e.g. specific seminar ideas), we will be happy to pass them on to the responsible persons.

We are always striving to improve student interaction. E.g. we have redesigned the ESA-West Freiraum, to make our everyday life at the university more colorful. Also we organize summer parties and Christmas parties to encourage the exchange among each other.

If you are interested in participating in the FSR activities: We currently meet every Thursday during the lecture period (16:00 PM – 18:00 PM) in the Freiraum ESA-West. Just come by and say hello!
