Aims and Goals
On a general level, this project focuses on local actors who have been subjected to poverty and social exclusion.
This applies to groups whose work or every day lives traditionally have been tied to urban areas close to the ports, such as small tradespeople, former port workers, prostitutes etc. A second target group will be refugees and new immigrants, to whom port cities have become a focal point of transnational migration.
According to the principles of the European Union, an actor-oriented development of programmes will be designed and implemented in close cooperation with social actors on the local level. Their participation is an important requirement for an effective and sustainable fight against poverty and social exclusion.
