Der erste Workshop des Wissenschaftlichen Netzwerks „Pluralizing the Value of Things“, das von Jonas Bens am Institut für Ethnologie der Universität Hamburg geleitet wird, findet vom 4.-6. Oktober 2023 an der Abteilung für Südostasienwissenschaften der Universität Bonn statt. Die Netzwerkmitglieder diskutieren dort über ethnologische Ansätze zum Zusammenhang von Materialität, Personalität und Wert - mit einem besonderen Fokus auf Hierarchie. 
 
Interessierte sind herzlich eingeladen, an der Keynote Lecture teilzunehmen, an der Zuhörer:innen auch online teilnehmen können. Geger Riyanto vom Department of Anthropology  der Universitas Indonesia in Jakarta präsentiert seine Arbeit zum Thema „Molding the Past, Unsettling the Present: Heritage-Making and the Value of Things in Maluku, Indonesia“:

Workshop and Hybrid Keynote: Pluralizing the Value of Things (Focus: Southeast Asia) 

The first workshop of the Research Network "Pluralizing the Value of Things", which is headed by Jonas Bens at the Institute of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Hamburg, will take place from Oct. 6-4, 2023, at the Department of Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Bonn. There, network members will discuss ethnological approaches to the relationship between materiality, personhood, and value - with a special focus on hierarchy in Southeast Asia. 
 
Interested colleagues and students are cordially invited to attend the keynote lecture, in which listeners can also participate online. Geger Riyanto from the Department of Anthropology at Universitas Indonesia in Jakarta will present his work on "Molding the Past, Unsettling the Present: Heritage-Making and the Value of Things in Maluku, Indonesia."
